CLIENTS FEEDBACK
A brief note to say thanks for
putting me in touch with Ivor through various emails earlier this
month. I took my two boys down for a day
with Ivor at Marsh Farm in Surrey and had a
really great day. I have never even tied a hook before
but within a couple of hours all three of us were catching some really good
fish, particularly Jack our youngest who obviously got a lucky peg !.......it
made his day. For info I attach a diary entry that
Jack has kept for a school project and couple of photos from the
day. I can’t recommend Ivor highly
enough, his enthusiasm is infectious and patience unbelievable for getting
beginners started, just what we needed. Thanks again for your help, we are
hooked.
Kind
regards, Pete.

Today Dad took Tom and
I to learn how to fish. We were taught by Ivor Hughes at a fishery called Marsh
Farm in Surrey.
We have never fished
before and Ivor taught us how to set up our poles and then use a plumb to test
the depth of the water around where we sitting. Although we wanted to start
fishing straight away Ivor explained that this is one of the most important
things to do if you want to understand where the fish are likely to be.
We began fishing with
maggots and straight away caught some small fish but then used some round
pellet bait. Straight away we all started catching much bigger fish.
Ivor said he couldn’t
believe the fish I caught, my brother said it was lucky but I said it was skill
!
I caught 4 good Tench,
4 Cruscian and 1 Common Carp as well as lots of smaller fish. My Dad and Tom
also caught lots of fish but mine were the biggest.
Ivor was a really good
teacher and didn’t go mad when I accidentally left my pole in the water with
bait on when I went to see my Dad, a fish came and pulled it in to the water !
Ivor used another rod to bring it back in.
After we finished Dad
bought us all new poles and equipment from Mick in the shop, he showed us all
the things we needed and Ivor set them up for us.
I really enjoyed
myself and now we can all go fishing together during the rest of the holidays.

Hi Ivor,
I would like to thank you for the time you spent with Ryan yesterday on
such a cold day,
I didn't think that i was going to be able to help Ryan until
you helped him for me.
Even when you were there to fish yourself you gave up
your time to help, a massive thankyou is deserved.
Ryan has come away so happy
that he has learnt to cast, strike, tie hooks,
and was not put off when he
caught the small Perch and small Roach compared to what he caught before.
Many Thanks
Gary (the ice cold dad still thoring out)

Hi Ivor,
Once again i would like to thank you for another good day, Ryan has not
stopped talking about it.All your help is making Ryan and myself actually think about fishing rather
than just fish if that makes sense?
Attached a couple of photos for you to take a look at and maybe add them to
your own site for other starters to see how well you know about fishing and how
to get begginers hooked.
Hope to see you soon at the lakes
Gary
